Not just where you go.
How you’re guided.

Journeys across Kilimanjaro, Serengeti and beyond, led by the people who call it home.

A Higher Standard of Adventure

Dakik Expeditions was shaped here, at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro, by people who have grown up on these lands and continue to work every day. Our journeys are designed and led by local teams who understand the rhythm of the terrain, the seasons, and what it takes to move through Tanzania with care.

We focus on thoughtful pacing, strong support on the ground, and a level of comfort that allows you to be fully present in the experience. Whether on the mountain or out on safari, everything is planned quietly in the background so you can slow down, observe, and enjoy the journey as it unfolds.

What sets us apart is not just where we take you, but how you are looked after along the way. From the guides who lead you to the people preparing your meals and setting camp, every detail reflects pride in our home and respect for the people and landscapes that define it.

Led by Experience

Dakik Expeditions was founded by Rawan Dakik, one the the youngest climbers to complete the Seven Summits and a tourism ambassador for Tanzania.

Her approach to travel is simple: move through Tanzania with respect, patience, and the people who know it best

Plan Your Tanzania Journey with Local Experts!

We design each trip carefully, handle logistics on the ground, and stay involved from planning to departure.

Practical information to help you plan clearly and confidently.

Once you contact us, we start with a short conversation to understand your dates, interests, pace, and priorities. Based on that, we design a proposed itinerary and share clear pricing.

To confirm a trip, a deposit is required. After confirmation, we handle permits, reservations, logistics, and assign your on-ground team. Final details, packing guidance, and timing are shared well ahead of arrival.

We stay in direct contact throughout the planning process.

After confirmation, you’ll receive practical preparation information including packing guidance, arrival details, and a clear outline of what to expect each day.

Our team remains available for questions, and we coordinate everything on the ground so your arrival and journey run smoothly.

Safety is built into how we plan trips, not added as an afterthought.

On Kilimanjaro, this includes route selection, pacing, daily health checks, altitude monitoring, and trained mountain teams carrying safety and communication equipment. Decisions on the mountain are made by experienced guides based on real conditions, not schedules.

On safari, we work with licensed drivers/guides and well-maintained vehicles, plan realistic driving times, and avoid rushed or high-risk itineraries.

All trips are led by Tanzanian teams who live and work here year-round.

On Kilimanjaro, you are guided by professional mountain guides, assistant guides, and support crew who stay with you throughout the climb. On safari, you travel with experienced driver-guides who know the regions you are visiting.

We do not outsource leadership mid-trip. The same core team stays responsible from start to finish.

The best time to climb Kilimanjaro is during the dry seasons: from January to March, and from June to October. The advantages are clearer skies, more stable weather, and excellent summit conditions for hikers, especially on the most popular routes like Lemosho and Machame.
